Spring Essentials 2015

If you couldn’t tell by the gradual increase of temperatures and daylight savings, and every news channel reminding you every hour of every day, and all your friends instagramming their toes…Spring has arrived! Except in New England. They might still be buried in 10 feet of snow. Hang in there guys. Summer is almost here.

Annyyyway.

Spring. Fashion. Toes.

I love to follow beauty blogs/vlogs/sites. Google will bring up over 700 millions results!  “WOW” is an understatement!

Combine that with the number of fashion/beauty ads we see, all the magazines, my head is already spinning. But what happens most of the time when I’m reading that stuff is “That would never work on me”. The article/blog/whatever would say something like “This Seasons BIGGEST Trends”, “Spring 2015 Trends Everyone Must Try”. You get the picture, amiright? 

And that’s so great that we are so accessible to one another sharing our tips, I think it’s great. Keep it up. Sharing is caring, right?

• Then there’s Pinterest. Every girls excuse for why they didn’t get any sleep last night. Can I get an amen? 

This is what Pinterest has to say about Spring Essential 2015 and my interpretation of said things.

But what if I don’t live near a beach? Why are you going to leave me hanging pinterest? What’s up with that? What if I live in a forest? I don’t think I’m pinteresting right.

2. 10 Spring Classics

Ugh, I definitely love that they showed where you can get these items. Most fashion pins link back to some creepy guys basement and you can never find that cute midi you’ve been stalking the internet for. Bravo.

3. Road Trip Essentials

Yes! I feel like Pinterest really read my mind with this one. I’m about to get my road trip on this year when we move to Spain! How did we ever road trip before Pinterest? I know I didn’t. I’m actually following this travel blog on bloglovin so I thought it was total Karma her pin popped up in my feed.

4. The Wardrobe You’ll Always Covet But Never Own

I think we’ve all got a few of these on our boards. You know….the one that makes you feel like your closet is seriously lacking. In fact, my entire fashion board is like this smorgasbord of sexy, fun, cool, casual, flirty, lazy, chic clothing.  Why take down a fashion magazine for making a girl feel inadequate? I do it to myself on pinterest.  Can I just call Al Pacino up and ask him to pull me a S1mone?  I’ll even settle for a little Weird Science.

• Instead of “What Not To Wear” they should just create a show that looks up a girls pinterest board and buys her every thing on it. PLEASE CAN I BE FIRST!

5. Wedding Planning Essentials

This is from a totally legit blog if you dare to click the photo and check it out. But what is so brilliant is that Pinterest has already got this whole Spring Essentials thing figured out. There are 2 signs that let you know spring is coming.

• Everyone on your friends list is getting preggo….all that cold weather really got the sheets warmed up if you know what I mean 😉 😉 😉
• The tidal wave of weddings

6. 2015 Color Of The Year: Marsala

The first thing that came to mind when I first heard the name of this years ‘Pantone Color of the Year’ was “mmmm I love a good Steak Marsala”.

Then I began to think that it reminded my of wine.

According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director at Pantone Color Institute, “Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draw us in to its embracing warmth”.

Go ahead and look it up on Pinterest. Can I just go ahead and get one of everyyyything in this color now, please? Thanks. Hold the steak.
